Smoothies are as common today as any other cool, refreshing drink and because of this the commercial smoothie machine is still in demand. Stores that sell smoothies should have the reliable and power machines to cope with the hundreds of orders they no doubt receive on any hot summer’s day. I imagine ice cream and fast food stores located at a popular beach would know that if the machine breaks down or is too slow, customers are not going to be happy. The “Smoother” is strongly built and able to perform a variety of “crushing” jobs. As with the VitaMix above, the BlendTec Smoother Q Series is able to mix margaritas, milk shakes, smoothies, malts and much more with speed and preciseness. Reviews are positive with many stating that should they purchase a commercial smoothie machine again in the future, the BlendTec is the one they will choose.

With the many different smoothie making machines out in the retail world, manufacturers are competing relentlessly for a percentage of the market and this competition is good for us – the consumer – as with competition comes innovation and innovation brings new and improved products and this is probably what is helping the smoothie remain a popular refreshment. In the mid 1960s smoothies began rival the famous milk shake as young people, seemingly over night, became health conscience and decided that perhaps a smoothies was healthier than the sweet taste of a milk shake or malt. Gradually the smoothie became what it is today – popular. However, without the commercial smoothie machine, perhaps smoothies wouldn’t have caught on as much as they have.
